We bought these mid to late summer. We bought two and they seem to be of similar quality. I was very pleased with the quality. They are of a heavy weight vinyl that seems to be durable. We used them for the rest of the summer. I like the blue color. The drain valve in the bottom is very handy. The height of the sides is sensible. We found a funnel tip and used an air mattress pump to inflate these. I wouldn’t want to blow the entire thing up “manually.” That would be a lot of air! They do seem to hold air well. It looks like buying off season gives you a discount so plan accordingly. These arrived in a compact box and would store in a small amount of space until needed. We enjoyed this purchase.

This guy ain’t even close to 48inches. After completely inflating it and filling with water we sit at 43 inches across. Ours did not come with the hole. It is still holding water and has had water in it for four days now. It is what it is. Not great, not horrible. If you are desperate for something it works well enough.
